| 5,000 to 7,000 | Water is not suitable for any class of poultry. It will almost always cause some type of problem, especially at the upper limits, where decreased growth and production or increased mortality will probably occur. |
| 7,000 to 10,000 | Water is unfit for poultry but may be suitable for other livestock. |
